"We have been going to Jamie's since 2013 and my son just loves it. They are so kind and caring. An amazing preschool. Very warm and inviting. The people I have met over the years have become like family to us. In my darkest times this preschool showed me some light!"

"Jamie’s was our only outing and outlet for three years. It gave us connections with others we will cherish for life. Jamie's made everything that seemed so very wrong in the world at that time OK."

Ride 4 a Reason: Go, Noah!

Inspired by friends coping with cancer, 15-year-old Noah Epp of Calgary undertook a grueling challenge of his own in August, cycling 1,000 kilometres from Calgary to Vancouver cycled to raise funds for the Alberta and BC Children's Hospitals, Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta, and our very own Jamie's Preschool. Last May Noah visited our classroom to share his journey with students, and learn more about their journeys with cancer. Gearing up for his ride, Noah said, "I'm going to give everything I've got for five days on the bike. The kids I've met fight every day."/p>

Noah's discipline, determination and spirit of giving are really something to celebrate. This is Noah's second major fund-raising adventure; at just nine years old he cycled from Calgary to Edmonton to raise money for cancer research.

Congratulations, Noah, on another successful ride! Our thanks go out to you and your family and supporters for your huge hearts and efforts on behalf of young people living with cancer. Read more about Noah and his ride at the CBC and Vancouver Canucks websites. Visit to show your support!
