Jamie's applauds $5m donation to children's cancer research

Ethan Duncan, a cancer survivor and former student of Jamie's Preschool, was part of the celebration of a $5-million gift from Trican Well Services Ltd. to the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation in December. The donation, the largest the foundation has ever received for oncology, will support cancer care at the hospital and research towards finding cures for childhood cancers and treatments that cause less suffering and fewer long-term side effects. We are thrilled with the possibility of brighter futures for our families. Read the story in the Calgary Sun here and the Calgary Herald here.

Celebrating 25 years!

Many thanks to all our families and friends who came together to help us celebrate our 25th anniversary and pay tribute to longtime staff, volunteers and supporters. Since 1986 Jamie's has been providing a safe haven for play and learning for young children with fragile immune systems. View our DVD celebrating 25 years of Jamie's Preschool here.

GlobalTV joins the tribute!

Global Calgary visited Jamie's in June as we gathered to mark Mrs. Mackie's last day as teacher (though of course not her last day with Jamie's!). Thanks to Mia Sosiak and her crew for a wonderful portrait of Jamie's Preschool.
